Press release

The annual meeting of the ICF in Germany becomes Coachingtag.com!

The ICF Coaching Day celebrates its 10th anniversary with a new concept and cooperation with the further education congress myQ with focus areas of coaching in B2B and B2C, quality, professional regulation and international trends.

„As a professional association, we promote quality in coaching above all. To this end we are in an ongoing conversation with representatives from industry science and politics. For our 10th anniversary we will introduce a cross-section of national and international activities and cooperation partners at the Coachingtag. Through the partnership with myQ and the high interest in the further education congress, we will enable access to our work for a broader public. With new focus areas of coaching in B2B and B2C, professional regulation and international trends we want to further the conversation with our community stakeholders.” Geertje Tutschka, President, ICF Deutschland e.V.

What began as a small event exclusively for ICF members has developed into a central event for the coaching industry:

„The ICF in Germany has grown in size, importance and recognition over the past years, so it makes sense to make the Coachingtag available to a wider audience. From a single Coaching Tag, a 2-day event has evolved; originally exclusively for ICF members, it now provides an industry platform for networking, working, discovery of future trends, learning, presenting, discussing the topics of personal development and coaching,” adds Doris van de Sand, board representative for membership relations.

The new concept for CoachingTag is a congress for the coaching industry and partners/customers in further education and personal development and targets an broad audience of coaches, companies and individuals interested in coaching.

„A highly dynamic business world in which knowledge quickly becomes old, presents new challenges for personal development and further education. We constantly hear from businesses that coaching will become increasingly utilised. Nevertheless, this resource is often retained for the upper levels of company hierarchy. Though the cooperation with myQ we want to make coaching available to people that want to make investments in their personal development. Through the Coachingtag, interested parties can experience live coaching in its many forms”, according to Peter Tschötchel, board member responsible for marketing and event management.

The B2B programme on Friday 24th November, with a focus on Future of further education and Coaching Quality. Is aimed at coaches consultants and company representatives (HR, T&D etc). Platform discussions on industry politics with highly regarded speakers from industry and science are part of the agenda as is a speakers corner.

„As an international organisation, the ICF is premiering a full day programme  of English speaking presenters from USA, GB, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland”, explained Roeland C. Schaart (from the Netherlands) vice chairman of the board (ICF Germany)

As part of the evening programme there will be opportunity to continue networking.

The B2C programme on Saturday 25 November, provides a varied Campus format with short pitches demonstrating the latest tools and methods.

Munich is Germany’s second largest employment region and belongs to the leading business metropolises worldwide. The proximity to Switzerland and Austria strengthens the choice of Munich as a venue for the ICF CoachingTag”, explained Uwe Achterholt (from Munich) board member responsible for Finance.

Coaches, not affiliated with an industry organisation have the opportunity to get to know the ICF and other Coaching organisations.

ICF members benefit from a large discount on participation.
